Jackie was awarded "Most Outstanding Achievement in Asia" last night at the Huading Awards held at the Olympic Stadium in Beijing. The awards are voted by the public through a survey system. More than 5 000 celebrities are voted on. I can not verify this as an accurate translation of what Jackie said, or when he said it - whether on stage or in an interview afterwards as I took it from a Chinese forum but apparently Jackie said that his life can be divided into 4 stages: making movies for a lunch box; making movies for money as a young man, making movies for the audience and making his own movies. He also said that shooting a worthwhile movie in accordance with his conscience would be welcomed by audiences worldwide so he is going to continue with going his own way.
